  1. Name:
  2. Superpower:

  4. Planet of Origin:
  5. Random Fact (ex: wears size 10 1/2 shoes, doesn't enjoy almond milk, once ate over 20 pancakes in a single sitting, ect):

Scripting!

Yesterday we finished off our script! Well, not really the script, just a sort of rough outline, but it's a start. And at least now we know where it is we're going. There's gonna be lots of fighting and texting and a trap is sprung and then escaped from... If you weren't there we can catch you up next week. I think we're aiming to finish the filming by the end of this month, so we'll be doing more of that next week.

Also: Kickboxing! Next Monday we're all gonna learn how to really kick ass to add to the zombie-and-bad-guy-fighting scenes in our movie. So that's really exciting! If you have questions you should talk to Paulene on facebook.

Even more stuff: I'm gonna post a couple of questions for you guys to answer about your characters. Write it down and bring it on Tuesday or send it on facebook so we can use this information in the movie. EDIT: Check out the character questionnaire here!

So that's what we did this week! I totally forgot to do an update last week but it was more filming, I'd say we have just about a third of the movie filmed in the rough draft copy. We're getting close guys!

Shooting Begins!

So, yesterday was Tuesday and we did a lot. I was a full half hour late because I left my camera at home (whoops ^^;) but when I finally got there everyone was coming up with titles for our movie, writing them on slips of paper and putting them in a hat. At the end of the meeting we were going to pick them out and decide on one. Exciting stuff, as titles can set the whole feel of a movie.

After that the directors hat came out and we started practicing the shooting of our movie! We only managed to get through two scenes, but for our limited time I thought that was pretty good. Although, if it keeps going so slowly I'm predicting extra shooting days being scheduled for the weekends. Ahh, what we sacrifice for the craft. But I gotta say, what we did do was pretty great. And I'm a perfectionist, so that's a lot coming from me. Next week we're gonna be able to see what we managed to do, edited together into coherent scenes! How exciting, even if it is just a practice run.

Just before we had to leave we got back to the titles. I think almost all of them got pulled out of the hat, and though a few of them were flops (including mine) there were some great suggestions as well. We did end up picking one though, and so the mood of our movie has been set. And here it is, the name of our group film:

Who Stole the Serum from the Cookie Jar?

...Yup, I think that sums it up rather nicely.

SO! That's what we did this week. I'll see you all next Tuesday, when the making of our movie continues. Remember to be thinking about your characters and how the story can advance, we'll never finish this thing until we actually have a completed script after all. I'll see you guys then!

Welcome and stuff

The blog is up and running! Horray! It's your girl Sinead here, and I'll be posting stuff here every now and again, mostly summaries of what we're up to. If I were you I'd expect updates after each meeting, but if I were me (which I am) I'd expect maybe an update once a month. Let's see whose right. (I hope you are)

So, lets start off by remembering what's been happening so far. Let's see, we're working on our movie slowly but surely, having designs for dresses and things being made, taking lots of pictures, and I've been lead to believe there are a few secret projects floating around... Hmm, I wonder what they could be. Whatever it is I'm excited to find out! With so much going on it's a bit of a miracle we ever get anything done! There's only so much time till our show in June, so with that deadline in mind lets get going!
