Shooting Begins!

So, yesterday was Tuesday and we did a lot. I was a full half hour late because I left my camera at home (whoops ^^;) but when I finally got there everyone was coming up with titles for our movie, writing them on slips of paper and putting them in a hat. At the end of the meeting we were going to pick them out and decide on one. Exciting stuff, as titles can set the whole feel of a movie.

After that the directors hat came out and we started practicing the shooting of our movie! We only managed to get through two scenes, but for our limited time I thought that was pretty good. Although, if it keeps going so slowly I'm predicting extra shooting days being scheduled for the weekends. Ahh, what we sacrifice for the craft. But I gotta say, what we did do was pretty great. And I'm a perfectionist, so that's a lot coming from me. Next week we're gonna be able to see what we managed to do, edited together into coherent scenes! How exciting, even if it is just a practice run.

Just before we had to leave we got back to the titles. I think almost all of them got pulled out of the hat, and though a few of them were flops (including mine) there were some great suggestions as well. We did end up picking one though, and so the mood of our movie has been set. And here it is, the name of our group film:

Who Stole the Serum from the Cookie Jar?

...Yup, I think that sums it up rather nicely.

SO! That's what we did this week. I'll see you all next Tuesday, when the making of our movie continues. Remember to be thinking about your characters and how the story can advance, we'll never finish this thing until we actually have a completed script after all. I'll see you guys then!
